The course content and mentorship provided by Oral History Made Easy on this online programme has been specifically designed to support you in your development journey as an oral historian from novice to proficiency efficiently and effectively. Your learning will be supported using a variety of materials intended to promote engagement such as through the direct delivery course content, interactive exercises, checklists and case studies.
As a student, you commit to engage in the programme for its duration and to follow the instructions of your course tutor, Dr Angela Maye-Banbury contained in ‘six steps to success’ programme. Ethics and other themes related to research integrity, confidentiality and data protection will be covered in the course. But please note that as the legislative framework varies from country to country, it is your responsibility as an oral historian to check the specific legal requirements in the individual country (jurisdiction) where the oral histories will be recorded before you do any recordings, disseminate and archive your interviews.
I agree to engage with the training programme for its duration. I also agree to check the legislative and ethical requirements in the country where I will be conducting the oral histories.
We very much look forward to meeting you on Oral History Made Easy on your journey to becoming an oral historian.
